Maljamar

Purchased from ConocoPhillips in 2003, the Maljamar Gas Plant and Gathering System consists of a 60-MMcfd refrigerated cryogenic gas processing plant, an inlet gas amine treating system, and a 650-mile gathering system located in Eddy, Lea and Chaves Counties of southeast New Mexico. The gathering system employs state-of-the-art EFM meters and real-time telemetry on each receipt point, allowing excellent system balancing and measurement accuracy.

The plant control system is a top-of-the-line Honeywell DCS, which maximizes NGL production and gas treating with minimal downtime. The plant and gathering system have approximately 22,000 horsepower of compression, 65% of which is electric motor driven, making Maljamar an extremely fuel efficient and reliable plant. Residue gas outlets are Transwestern, NGPL, and Public Service Company of New Mexico. Natural gas liquids are delivered into TEPPCO’s Chaparral Pipeline.
